VosynAI - Press & Reports
Helping Global Stakeholders Explore AI Research and Support Investor Transparency
Role: Product Designer & Developer - Internship
Project Timeline: 1 month
Overview
Vosyn is an AI startup building context-aware and voice preserving language technology to help businesses translate content more naturally across global markets.
During my 8 month internship, I was able to work across many projects as a product designer and front-end dev, including building a 0 to 1 Press & Reports platform to display research reports across 8 different countries.
Problem
How might we turn complex global research reports into an experience people actually want to explore?
Outcome
I helped design and build a web & mobile experience that gives users a clear way to explore research by region.
Final Designs
and Solutions
In one month, I created a scalable platform that lets users explore Vosyn’s AI language research reports by region.
Regional Toggles
Buttons allow users to filter reports by region with a single click. Each selection dynamically updates content organized by report summaries and a What You Will Learn section.
Information Hierarchy
Working alongside with my Lead Design Manager, Rob, we chose to structure the page to guide users from high-level summary into the deeper insights as they read.
We wanted to prioritize scannability, so we spaced out each section and added bullet check marks & headers to break up the text more.
Each region follows a the same framework in order to make the research reports easier to navigate.
Podcast Hub 🎧
To increase user engagement, we integrated a featured podcast section with the Vosyn founders Brian & Andil.
The layout is simple, with the video at the center of attention. We used YouTube as inspiration by including a Play Next in queue button, making it easy to explore the reports for user’s who prefer listening over reading.
Mobile Designs
Mobile Drop-down Feature
When we were initially designing, we actually wanted to use the drop-down feature on desktop as well. After receiving feedback from our CEO, however, we pivoted to displaying all the countries as buttons. Luckily, the drop-down feature we built was repurposed for the mobile version. This way, we were able create a more compact mobile design without compromising the user experience.
User Research
Findings & Results
To understand how users engage with content, I conducted 3 semi-structured interviews with internal stakeholders and 21 survey responses.
Here are the key findings.
88% Of respondents skim research content rather than read it in full
Many participants shared that long reports feel overwhelming at first glance. One respondent said, “If I don’t immediately read something that’s applicable for me, I usually won’t keep reading.”
76% Prefer exploring content by topic and region
One participant said, “It’s more interesting to engage with content that’s actually relevant to me.”
64% Value multimedia elements alongside written reports
Participants said video and podcast formats make research more understandable. One person shared, “Hearing someone explain it makes it stick more for me, rather than just reading a report.”
Low-fi Sketches
and Ideas
I ideated over potential solutions and user flows. I used sketches to solidify thoughts and draw out how I wanted user interactions to work.
Usability Testing
Findings & Iterations
I conducted a small usability test with 4 individuals. I was looking to test clarity, completion and comprehension of the different features.
Before
The mobile country tabs required a horizontal scroll, which some testers found confusing.
After
To address this, I updated the mobile version to use an intuitive drop-down menu instead.
Before
This snippet of the prior legal disclaimer displays a dense block of text. Many testers thought it was overwhelming and difficult to read.
After
To address this, I re-organized the disclaimer by improving the text hierarchy. Sometimes all we need is some spacing and bold headers to make sense out of the chaos.
Brand Identity
During my time as an intern, I helped create a basic brand kit for the design & dev team + any future interns to refer to. It includes colors, typography, tone of voice, buttons & iconography.
Final Thoughts
& What I learned
Long-term Impact for Vosyn
Created a foundation for how future press, research reports and multimedia can be added.
Established a fresh UI standard with my brand guideline kit.
Introduced a Media Kit feature to help grow the companies visibility.
Reflection
If I had more time, I would have used A/B testing to analyze behavioral patterns across different design iterations to better understand how varied user groups engage with research content.
Moving forward, I would also love to explore how using storytelling strategies and elements of data visualization could help increase engagement.
